Four years ago today I had just begun the pushing stage of labor. It was a long, drawn out process which lasted 1 hour and 40 minutes in total. At 10:39AM, we met our precious first born son, John Thomas Terry! He was born at home after a 30+ hour labor. We were so glad to finally meet him! He weighed 8 lbs. 10 oz and was over 21 inches long when he was born. (He refused to extend his leg so we don’t know exactly how long he was.) He latched on shortly after birth and was a champion nurser for almost 15 months.
John loves helping his Papa in the barn. He’s learning to milk cows and take good care of them. Since he was just 15 months old or so he’s been horse “crazy” and still is to this day! I wouldn’t be surprised if he grows up to be a horse breeder/farmer. He loves his younger brother and can hardly wait to meet the newest addition to our family. He’s convinced we’re having a little girl. He’s been praying for a little sister for a year now. He’s a very active, happy little boy who lights up my life! How blessed I am to be his Mama!!!
We prayed for 7 long months to be blessed with our first child and now he’s turning four! Where has the time gone? What a wonderful thing it is to be a Mother!
